Before wolves set out for a night’s hunting, they stand together, lift their noses, and howl loudly. The eerie noise travels a long way. The howl of one pack of wolves is often answered by the howl of another.The howls may warm other packs to keep their distance.

Sometimes a wolf will howl if it gets separated from its pack. When the pack howls in reply, the wolf know where to find its family.

People fear wolves because they attack sheep and cattle. For thousands of years, farmers have killed wolves. The few wolves that are left are found far away in the mountain, or in the frozen north.

In Flox Class we had create our class Christmas kiwi kindness calender's. From now on we are going to be kind to each other and follow our Christmas Calendar.

Walt use precise nouns to add detail for our reader

This week in writing we have been using precise nouns to make our writing more specific for the reader.

We took a paragraph and changed the nouns from general nouns to precise nouns.

Here is an example.

In the weekend I had to do lots of shopping with my Mum. We went to the MC Donald's  to get some Burgers. We also went to look for a present for my cousin’s birthday. I had to choose between pepper pig and a elephant. After that we went to the Kmart to buy some clothes, I got two new t'shirts and dress's and a pair of Nike's. Because I had been so good, mum took me to the Diary to buy an Paddle pop . Lucky me!

I'm am excited to go to Camp because I've never been Camp before I can't wait. The most nervous thing is about the surfing I've never been surfing and I hop it's fun.
